LoRa Alliance is a non-profit association that promotes and standardizes low power wide area network (LPWAN) technology for the Internet of Things (IoT). The alliance works to create an open ecosystem where LPWAN networks based on the LoRaWAN protocol can interact with each other and enable global connectivity for IoT applications. The main goal is to offer a long range, low power consumption and low cost communication solution, supporting a wide range of IoT applications such as smart agriculture, smart city, smart metering, wearable devices and much more.

Mioty Alliance is an organization that promotes and develops MIOTY (Massive Internet of Things) technology, a low power wide area network (LPWAN) solution for the IoT. MIOTY technology is based on a distributed spectrum multiple access (DSMA) scheme that enables the efficient transmission of large volumes of data from IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
