Description
It is a wireless device for automatic surveying of the occupancy status of parking spaces. The device is designed and manufactured by Nabla Quadro Srl.
The “Sky Light Sensor” is characterized by avant-garde technological features. It is proposed as a successful alternative to the current devices used in the field of sustainable mobility and intelligent transport systems (ITS).
The sensor is positioned at the center of the parking stall, after removing a bituminous convex carrot. It automatically sends the data to a repeater positioned typically on a public lighting pole and powered by a battery. The Repeater automatically forwards the message to the Access Point located near the parking area and typically powered by a small photovoltaic panel. Wireless communication takes place on a frequency of 868 Mhz (ISM band).
